Apart from the selected system, the a first step shall be a general assesment, upon questionaires, personal intervieves, documents, drawings. Also we learn the company culture and HR policy.We study the • currently running systems • the relevant internal rules, such as IT Security • review of involved processes • data, datbases
Target setting
At the initiation of the projekt we have to determine the direction and assess the needs. First of all, we have to set the strategic target and allocate the assets. For instance:
• Target: to achive more efficient preparation in order to facilitate the management to take decision
• Assets: data survey to data consolidation and to introduce a data entering (mobil base) solution.
The above phases are followed by the assesment of needs within the target system that can be learned from the assesment, or a from a focusgroup of the involved persons. Presentation can help to go forward, too.

- In-depht analyzation of business processes
Proposal
The alalysis results a cluster of solutions. It is not just a recommendation for one or more software, but states the conditions of success.
- Instantaneous arrengements in order to set the projekt
- Works to be executed simultaneously with the CAFM (or other IT system) project
- Identify which organizational and human criterias may be risks for the projekt
- Proposal for project methodology
- Proposal in connection with purchasing and consderation
Preparing specification
The first decision taken by a proposal is not sufficiente to iniciate a purchase. Proper planning is one of the key point to the success, by that reason, the supplier cannot be solely assigned with this process, otherwise we would not achive the goal. Therefore, the planning has to be started before the procurement which results a specification that determines the details of the solution. This should be extended to the field level determinations, the expectations in connection with the different levels in the system, to the support or interface details.
